Slide is a premium, shared ride-to-work service in Bristol that you book in advance using an app (iOS and Android). It is the first in the UK pioneering an on-demand bus offering.

  • Managed the entire setup of the business and operation in Bristol

2PVENTURES - HEAD OF PRODUCT

2PV has a suite of digital products to help hotels maximise conversions online through the use of our hotel booking engine; CMS; loyalty programme. In addition 2PV offers a business intelligence platform, utilised by international sports clubs, to visualise both online and offline data in one simple interface.

  • Contribute to the development of 2PVentures strategic goals and objectives, as well as the overall management of the organisation

  • Educate & implement Agile development methodologies and supporting systems & processes to ensure efficient delivery of the product backlog

  • Advise the CEO, CTO and other key members of senior management on product roadmap, resourcing constraints, operational system & process improvements

  • Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure that the product vision and roadmap is articulated across the organisation

  • Working with designers to improve the UX & UI of the product offering

  • Develop/document procedures for all key company processes, including operational process flow charts, within and across functions. Present & implement solutions for process improvements

Digitalbox is a global performance marketing company specialising in native advertising, content marketing & lead generation with over 3000 clients worldwide.

  • Initially managed the tech department. Implementing an Agile development methodology across three teams

  • Ownership of the product roadmap. Working with key stakeholders in the business to compile the roadmap. Then drawing up the specifications for features, creating the UX/UI for the self serve platform

  • Evaluated a number of external suppliers for suitability of an acquisition

Product Director Role

  • Define and execute the product vision of this fast-paced and innovative company
  • Responsible for developing and managing the award-winning product portfolio
  • Implementing and sustaining the strategic product roadmap, competitive positioning and product design for both existing as well as next-generation product offerings
  • Fostering a culture of data and design-driven product development approach working closely with usability, design, development engineers (backend & frontend) & data scientists
  • End-to-end delivery of web apps with cross device support (desktop, tablet & mobile)

Production Role

  • Projects consisting of mobile apps, company product offerings, eCommerce platform & external client websites
  • Manage the overall operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and activities of the department
  • Running the production  of a 50 strong team of project managers, designers, multiple tech teams and QA
  • Client project budget management with regular P&L review & post launch project reviews to ensure continuous improvement throughout the department

 

adaptive - company director & HEAD OF production

January 2007 – May 2012

Adaptive was a digital agency specialising in online marketing and website delivery. Delivering high quality design led eCommerce websites for the retail sector on their proprietary platform. Adaptive was acquired by Ve Interactive in 2012 for their eCommerce technology; taking on all clients & staff.

Role

  • Founder & director until the successful acquisition by Ve in 2012
  • As company director I gained invaluable experience in all aspects of business including strategy, finance, management, HR, client handling, product positioning and project delivery
  • The day-to-day role was as production director. This consisted of the management of the design, build and delivery of award-winning web projects, many for the retail industry
  • During this time I outlined and supervised the design/build of an eCommerce platform which ultimately meant I gained a wealth of experience in both eCommerce and usability
